ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS - PETROL

WARNING: IMPROPER ASSEMBLY CAN CAUSE SERVERE INJURY OR DEATH. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE THE PERSON WHO ASSEMBLES THE SCOOTER IS COMPETENT TO DO SO.

  1. Remove cardboard carton. Leave all protective packing on the scoot at this stage.
  2. Undo all screws and nuts from the packing frame and remove,
    leaving the ends.
  3. Place bolts back in the rear rack and tighten firmly, don’t over tighten.
  4. Cut ties holding the front wheel and remove.
  5. Remove the floor plate clamp being careful not to scratch paint.
  6. Pick up back of the scoot on the rear rack and move it out of the frame, steering should be in the straight-ahead position.
  7. Lift the rear of the scoot and put centre stand down (not the side stand).
  8. Front axle bolt can now be removed. Scoot should balance on center stand and rear wheel. Don’t loose the front axle bush which will be on the axle (outlaw only).
  9. Move the entire packing frame out of the way and remove protective packing from the scoot.
  10. Cut the speedometer drive ties and let hang.
  11. Find the front axle bush (was on the front axle on the outlaw) or (under the seat on the powersport).
  12. Put this bush into front wheel on the disc side.
  13. Cut tie on front brake lever (right hand side lever) and carefully spread brake pads apart with flat end screwdriver. Don’t damage the pads.
  14. Roll front wheel into position, disc goes between the brake pads and insert the axle from the disc side about half way.
  15. Locate the speedometer drive onto the wheel making sure tabs are in the slots and insert axle fully. Tighten the nut firmly and give it a spin by hand. There should be little resistance if done properly.
  16. Fit mirrors and tighten lock nut. Take your time adjusting the mirrors before tightening the lock nuts as forcing them into position cracks the glass.
  17. Fit battery terminal, battery cover, Vin number cover.
  18. READ THE MANUAL, CHECK FLUIDS, CHECK ALL SCREWS AND BOLTS, TYRE PRESSURES, ADD FUEL AND ENJOY.
  19. Don’t wind the electric starter for more than 10 seconds per minute. They get hot and can burn out easily.
  20. If you are unsure ring 1300 OZ SCOOTER.
