ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS - PETROL
WARNING: IMPROPER ASSEMBLY CAN CAUSE SERVERE
INJURY OR DEATH. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE THE PERSON
WHO ASSEMBLES THE SCOOTER IS COMPETENT TO DO SO.
- Remove cardboard carton. Leave all protective packing on
the scoot at this stage.
- Undo all screws and nuts from the packing frame and remove,
leaving the ends.
- Place bolts back in the rear rack and tighten firmly, don’t
over tighten.
- Cut ties holding the front wheel and remove.
- Remove the floor plate clamp being careful not to scratch
paint.
- Pick up back of the scoot on the rear rack and move it out
of the frame, steering should be in the straight-ahead position.
- Lift the rear of the scoot and put centre stand down (not
the side stand).
- Front axle bolt can now be removed. Scoot should balance
on center stand and rear wheel. Don’t loose the front
axle bush which will be on the axle (outlaw only).
- Move the entire packing frame out of the way and remove protective
packing from the scoot.
- Cut the speedometer drive ties and let hang.
- Find the front axle bush (was on the front axle on the outlaw)
or (under the seat on the powersport).
- Put this bush into front wheel on the disc side.
- Cut tie on front brake lever (right hand side lever) and
carefully spread brake pads apart with flat end screwdriver.
Don’t damage the pads.
- Roll front wheel into position, disc goes between the brake
pads and insert the axle from the disc side about half way.
- Locate the speedometer drive onto the wheel making sure tabs
are in the slots and insert axle fully. Tighten the nut firmly
and give it a spin by hand. There should be little resistance
if done properly.
- Fit mirrors and tighten lock nut. Take your time adjusting
the mirrors before tightening the lock nuts as forcing them
into position cracks the glass.
- Fit battery terminal, battery cover, Vin number cover.
- READ THE MANUAL, CHECK FLUIDS, CHECK ALL SCREWS AND
BOLTS, TYRE PRESSURES, ADD FUEL AND ENJOY.
- Don’t wind the electric starter for more than 10 seconds
per minute. They get hot and can burn out easily.
- If you are unsure ring 1300 OZ SCOOTER.
