Step 1 - Remove rack from the scooter and take off plastic cover by removing 6 bolts.

Step 2 - Cut off a section from a cross bar.

Step 3 - When looking into the top box the long screw headed bolts and washers go into these holes.

Step 4 - Put the cross bars on as shown, tighten firmly. To stop the screw from loosening apply locktite to the thread before tightening.

Carburettor draining

This is to drain the contaminents from the carburettor bowl. Loosen the screw and drain until fuel flow is clean. Retighten. Poor idle and hesitation is usually associated with water or dirt in the carburettor bowl.

Oil Change

Use the dipstick to check oil level.

Drain the oil at this point. There is a spring and screen under the plug. Once oil has drained, clean the screen and reassemble making sure the screen is up the correct way. Fill with the best quality SAE 10w30 oil you can afford. It will take 750ml. First change is at 300km then every 1000km.

To check oil level properly, first wipe the dipstick clean, install and tighten, then remove and read the level.

DO NOT OVERFILL ENGINE OIL.

Gear box service

Darin gearbox oil from point indicated, making sure that the copper washer is not lost.

Fill gearbox from the hole at the top. Fill until gear oil trickles from the hole. Reinsert 10mm plug making sure copper washer is in place. Gearbox will hold 110ml of 80w90 gear oil. First change is 300km then every 3000km after.
